Hours and Links
It was decided at our first few meetings to have both an hourly and a more currency-like means of recording exchanges, called a 'link'.
There are 6 links to one hour.
For the purposes of this website hours are represented as roses and links as, well, links!
A green rose represents an hour given and a red an hour received.

An hour is an hour whether you are a babysitter, a massage therapist or giving someone a lift somewhere. If there are added expenses such as materials then these can be paid for in money by the person receiving, or any other way agreed by both people. If there is preparatory time involved then this can be discussed and included.

There was much discussion and confusion about having a more currency-like means of recording exchanges. In the end the compromise was to primarily use hours but to also have a 'link' which can also be seen as 6 links to one hour.
Please use what is easiest for you to understand. We all have different ideas of what is clear and easy to understand!
Agree Before Doing Anything
It is up to the two individuals to agree upon the time or links involved before hand, and then pass this information onto letsdonegal@gmail.com once the transaction is completed to be recorded on the website.
It is very important to agree on any cash involved before doing any work, such as for petrol or materials. A slightly uncomfortable conversation before hand can prevent a very uncomfortable one later on... :)
